Official Dates for JEE Main 2015 has not been issued but table below contains main events of JEE Main and time period at which these events unusually takes place.

Candidates should start searching the website for these important events at least a week before the above mentioned time period.

JEE Main 2015 – Reservation and Quota

Reservation of seats under JEE Main 2015 is as per Government of India. It on certain percentage of seats are reserved for under-represented and backward classes. According to it seat are reserved as:

·         15% seats are reserved for Schedule Caste candidates

·         7.5% seats are reserved for Schedule Tribe candidates

·         27% seats are reserved for OBC (NCL) candidates

·         3% seats are reserved for PwD candidates

JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria to become eligible for writing exam. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying because once the application fee is paid it will not be refunded. Terms and conditions for being eligible are states below:

·         Candidates should have qualified XII or equivalent exam with 5 subjects form a recognized Board. These subjects should include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

·         Date of birth, of candidates, should be on or before 1 October 1990 (1985 for SC/ST/PwD).

·         Candidate must have passed class XII exam in 2013 or after (appearing in previous year and passing in next would not be accounted).

·         Each candidate will be provided three attempts to qualify JEE Main.

JEE Main 2015 Application Form

To register for JEE Main 2015 candidates will have to fill the JEE Main 2015 Application Form. The form can be filled form the official website of JEE Main. The form will be released ONLINE only and no other medium will be provided to attain JEE Main 2015 application form. JEE Main 2015 application from will be issued form 7 November 2014 till 18 December 2014.

As no notification has been released by CBSE for JEE Main 2015 only predictions can be made regarding date of released on application form. Tentative date for issue of JEE Main 2015 application form falls in November 2014. Candidates will be given, approximately, five weeks time to fill the form. Application form should be filled in prescribed format and all the details mentioned in it should be genuine.

Steps to fill the JEE Main 2015 application form are as follows:

·         Visit the official website by accessing the aforementioned link of JEE Main official website .

·         Enter your email ID, personal details and educational qualification to register.

·         Enter current address, contact number and other valid details.

·         Choose the exam center, exam mode (online or offline).

·         Upload scanned images of signature and photograph in due resolution.

·         Submit the Application Form of JEE Main and pay the fees online.

·         Once submitted, take its printout and preserve it till completion of JEE Main 2015 Admissions process.

·         Candidates should ensure that all the information filled in JEE Main 2015 application form should be authentic and intact.

JEE Main Application Fees

Application submission will not end till candidates pay JEE Main 2015 application fee. Candidates can pay application online or offline. To pay application fee online, candidates can use safe payment gate way like Net Banking or Debit/ Credit Card. For offline medium, candidates will have to download e-challan form the official website and remit fee from authorized banks. Details of application fee is as below:

·         General Category candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000/- as application fee, if they opt to pay via offline mode and Rs. 600/- from online mode.

MODE OF PAYMENT
i)	After filling all the details for applying online for NET, the computer will automatically generate your ‘Bank Challan’ indicating your details therein. A print out of this Bank Challan may be taken by the candidate for payment through cash, on the next working day (after generating the challan from www.ugcnetonline.in) at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) alongwith Bank charges (commission) of Rs.40/-
ii)	Two days after the payment of fee at SBI through filled Bank Challan, the candidate is required to check the status of fee payment at UGC website ( www.ugcnetonline.in ) and if the status is ‘OK’ the candidate will be able to take the printout of online Application Form (one copy), Attendance Slip (one copy) and Admission Card (one copy) on separate A-4 size papers.
	The candidate has to attach the UGC copy of the Bank Challan with the printout of online Application Form which he/she has to submit to the Registrar/Principal of UGC-NET Coordinating Institution opted by the candidate.
	Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

AGE LIMIT & RELAXATION :
i)	Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on 01.06.2014. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website : www.ncbc.nic.in )/SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority. Three years’ relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances.
ii)	Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor

Eligibility CBSE-UGC NET

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
i)	Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer / Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
ii)	Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Assistant Professor eligibility only after they have passed their Master’s degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ SC/ ST/ PWD (Persons with disability) category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
iii)	The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.
iv)	Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. The candidates whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item No. 9, may appear in a related subject.
v)	Candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PWD category are required to submit attested copy of the category Certificate along with online printout of their Application Forms (obtained while applying on-line). Other candidates are not required to submit any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility along with printout of their Application Form. Therefore, the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the Commission at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action.
vi)	Candidates having post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/ Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/Institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. EXEMPTION (ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR)
i)	NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
ii)	The candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are also exempted from appearing in NET.
iii)	For SET Candidates: The candidates who have cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC for eligibility for Assistant Professor held prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET, being eligible to apply for Assistant Professor anywhere in India. For SET held from 1st June 2002 onwards, the qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the state from where they have cleared their SET.
